Longfish Leisure BV has been designing, building and renting out electric recreation products since 2010 — to holiday parks, amusement and theme parks and safari parks in more than 25 countries. From officially licensed Land Rover and Jeep children’s vehicles to luxury electric sloops and lounge boats: everything is built to withstand years of intensive use with ease. Longfish is an official partner of Jaguar Land Rover and Jeep, and a member of industry organisations including IAAPA, EAZA and NFAN.
What will you do?
You’ll work from our production site in Wintelre, where assembly keeps you busy mainly outside the high season (November to March). During the season, you head out to clients at home and abroad to carry out service and maintenance on our full product range, from electric children’s vehicles to electrically powered boats. As our clients are located throughout the Netherlands and abroad, a service visit abroad may occasionally require one or more overnight stays.
- Assembling sub-assemblies and end products from technical drawings and work instructions
- Testing and checking your own work for quality, functionality and safety
- Carrying out maintenance, repairs and fault diagnoses on vehicles and products, mostly on site at the client
- Recording work, materials and deviations in our planning system, Simple Simon
- Contributing ideas to improve the assembly and service process, and solving problems yourself where needed
- Giving clients clear explanations and advice about the work carried out and any follow-up steps
What do you bring?
- A completed MBO (vocational) qualification, preferably in Automotive, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Knowledge of and affinity with automotive technology: engines, drivetrains and electronics/diagnostic systems
- Experience in an assembly and/or service environment
- Strong communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset: you spot problems early, think in possibilities and tackle them pragmatically — both in the workshop and independently on site at the client
- Independence: you work well without direct supervision and stay calm and composed when a problem arises on the road or at a client
- You work accurately, think along with the client, and feel at home in a small, international team
- A valid category B + E driving licence
- A good command of Dutch and English, spoken and written; a third language is a plus
